When planning my unit 3 advertising materials, I have made draft designs for both a campaign logo and a poster to promote the awards evening.
Shown above is the logo design made for the LCAC (Liverpool Cultural Arts Campaign) and the logo used in all promotional material for the artists awards night. I created the design on Photoshop using colourless clip-art designs of a paintbrush and guitar and paired them with rainbow coloured clip-art of music notes and paint splashes. My intention here was to make the colour stand out boldly to the rest of the design, showing a strong contrast to give visual interest to whoever sees it and catches peoples eyes even from a glance.
Additionally, I have made a draft design for a poster/leaflet for promotion of the campaigns awards night on Photoshop. The images used are currently place holders for when I take my own pictures and use them for the final design. When making the design.
I spliced together images of Liverpool which promote the city as an artistic, vibrant place and use photos which specifically highlight creativity, high energy and important landmarks of the city. I also included the detail of logos for Liverpool City Council and LJMU, the sponsors and funders for the campaign.
I have also made a second draft logo design for the campaign. This design I feel may be used alongside the first at different moments, however I may decided to not use this design due to the fact I have contained the creativity and passion inside the head of the design, not matching my overall intention of demonstrating how art and creativity are spread freely throughout the entire city and shows from the vibrant, bubbly atmosphere.
